Introducing my book!
MAKES A GREAT GIFT!
I have been working with Homeopathy for over 20 years, and have found it to be one of the most amazing ways of helping both People and Pets with any kind of health issues. So after having so many questions asked about how it all works and how best to work with homeopathy and dogs, I was inspired to write this book.
It is simple to use, shows clear indicators of symptoms, systems, and suggestions for treating the common issues that loving dog owners can face during their lifetime together. I provide the colour coded remedies that match the pages of the book that talk about how to treat each condition. I am so happy with the results and can now offer it to my clients and anyone who is interested in taking responsibility for their dogs health and wellness while you save thousands of dollars on vet bills!
THE (24″) SIZE TRAINING CRATE IS WHAT WE RECOMMEND FOR OUR PUPPIES . . . They grow into it – not OUT OF IT. So you can keep it and use it for travel or their own little bedtime safe place. We sell them for $80 and have them available for you to take your new puppy home in.
For over 25 years I have had the pleasure of raising happy, healthy puppies. I love to see them grow and develop their personalities and unique characteristics that make them so special.
My love of what I do and how I do it clearly shows up with all the great compliments I get from families who adopt them.
Encouragement from someone who suffered from allergies!
Since I was a child I have suffered from allergies to certain dogs, and especially cats. When our kids became older we wanted to get a dog but there were reservations due to my allergies. I decided to ‘casually look’ for a more hypo allergenic breeds and our internet search took me quickly to Donna and Cottage Kennels (I think it was fate!).
Donna was very helpful and allowed me to ‘visit’ Kaylee a couple of times on my own so it was just the two of us in my car to see if I would have any reactions. Donna also said that if we did decide to take Kaylee there was a window where she could be returned. This made all of the difference! Luckily, we have had no issues AT ALL with Kaylee or my allergies and we couldn’t be happier with her!
Thought that we would finally take the opportunity to send a thank you and of course a picture of our little princess Marley. We have had so many people stop us to ask so many questions about her, I am just amazed and of course we hear lots of ” so cute” comments too!
She had had such a positive affect in our family and my husband who was hesitant about the whole puppy thing, goes almost nowhere without his shadow.
We couldn’t be more happy. We watch the website for another potential addition as well.
She is very well behaved, easy to train, hardly ever barks, loves to be outside and any child is her new best friend.
Again thank you for all you do to create such wonderful “stock”.

Here is what ‘Colby’s’ family had to say May 10, 2016:
The search for a breeder was not easy, but when I met Donna I knew right away she was not just another breeder.
The design of her space was special, each crate has access to individual outdoor play / toilet area.
Due to my circumstance, she was kind enough to keep my puppy for an extra month, she constantly updated me his progress and even offered basic training.
It has been 10 days since my Colby arrived at my place, he is nothing but delight to have. He is calm yet playful, well behaved and is so loving, we called him “the kissing machine.
Her professionalism and dedication of the well being of these puppies are exceptional.
If you are looking for a new puppy I would highly recommend Donna, as I strongly believe you will not be disappointed
I wanted to let you know that Ginger is doing great and is the life of the party in our home. She is such a fun little character – fun and playful but also a big snuggle pup. She also loves to be outside in almost any weather and when the kids are home she is out there playing with them – and then sleeps really well :).
We love her so much and since I work from home most days my clients all love her too!
Thank you what a lovely little girl!
No accidents, understands the word “come” perfectly, slept through the night last night, makes it perfectly clear when she must go to the bathroom and promptly does so as soon as she is outside. We still take her out regularly but it is clear that she has control and understands that the house is not where she is to go.
Jack remains unsure whether he approves of her and gets up and stocks away if she tries to get near him. But he only growled once and seems resigned if not yet thrilled.
She was terrified the time he growled and shook like a leaf but recovered quickly and seems undaunted by him now.
She is quite curious but not overly bold. I like that.
My daughter is in love with her.
So we are very pleased with what a lovely balanced pup she is.
November 2015 –
Just wanted to say that Maggie is settled in and is a wonderful addition to our family. You raise the loveliest puppies- she’s cuddly, smart, laid back, sweet and very cute. And she hasn’t barked once. Thanks for teaching manners! We have lots of fun together.
Here’s a short video of her playing. Bye for now.
Thank you so much, Donna, for allowing me to adopt one of your puppies.
It was such a pleasure meeting you. Your training and care tricks were so informative — I feel like tossing my training books in the garbage! I am so happy I found The Cottage Kennel.
It was really, really a difficult choice. I could have taken them all home! But I believe I made a perfect choice with Lili. She is so precious — a perfect princess. Her colouring is just beautiful. I’m sure I will get lots of compliments from my dog friends. Your comment about her being such a cuddler really made up my mind. I also loved her curiosity, and her independence from her brothers and sisters, but she was also happy to be around people too. I can’t want to bring her home.
As a first time dog owner, it can be very daunting trying to find the right breed of dog from the right breeder. I must say that Donna at the Cottage Kennel made the choice very easy. We got our first tri-coloured cocapoo In Aug 2013 and we very pleased with our decision. Setting up an appointment was easy, and there is no pressure. You can spend as much time as you want playing with the dogs to make sure you make the right choice.
It is clear that Donna has gone the extra mile by providing the foundation for successful training. Already our pup is calm when getting his hair brushed and nails trimmed. He has basic manners and potty training. Donna was even able to integrate his name in so that when we were ready to pick him up he was already responding!
With the safety net of a health guarantee we can feel confident that we have gotten a happy healthy dog at a fair price. We would strongly recommend the cottage kennel for anyone in the market.

We picked up Bosley, our new puppy 3 weeks ago already. It has been a very easy transition since Donna took the time to train our puppy in a crate. He sleeps in his crate at night and loves to go for a nap by himself in his crate. He also travels very well in the car with his crate. From day one, he has been great in the house. He whimpers when he wants to go out for his business!!!
Only one mistake in 3 weeks and that was the first day! We did not know that the little whimper meant “I got to go now!!” We are very proud parents and we know that he will be the perfect little boy as soon as teething is over!!! Thanks again Donna for our little bundle of joy!!
Donna makes buying a new puppy an easy and relaxed experience. Her obvious passion and knowledge are evident as she supports you through the process of having a ‘new best friend’ come into your home.
Donna’s experience with raising puppies is apparent when you are with her in her kennel. Her calm approach affects all the pups and dogs in her care.
The pups are happy, well cared for and irresistible when you meet them.
The only challenge will be leaving the Cottage Kennel with just ONE puppy!
Sirius and I am going along great. He truly is a dream puppy. He loves to be cuddled. Doesn’t bark at people, doesn’t chew on things, is comfortable in the crate, eats well, smart, and listens. We are still working on the toilet training.
I took him to the vet before the 10 days and she said he was in good health. She liked his type of breed better than cockapoos (made me feel good even if it is only an opinion)
Just to report back on our first days with Bella. She is such a well behaved dog. We haven’t had any accidents in the house – she let’s us know when she needs the bathroom by looking towards the door and giving a small whine (even in the night). It is incredible!
She is really enjoying going on country walks and LOVES it when we run with her.
We run a b and b and the guests have been astonished at what a good girl she is. So well behaved and people friendly. This must be due to your excellent hard work.
Thanks again, she is bringing us a lot of joy!
Fiona and Sabrina
We love Macy! No surprise there. She is wonderful. We are giving you full credit. Not even an accident in the house.
She has settled right in and I think she is very happy. Yesterday she was a bit shell shocked but today she is very busy
exploring her new home. She loves sleeping in shoes. Whenever she sees a shoe or slipper she crawls right in. I
think that is the sign of a true diva! I was getting dressed this morning and couldn’t find her for a minute. I walked into
my closet and there she was all curled up in a pair of uggs.
We just wanted to let you know that our little Abby is doing really well.
At the moment she is running (more like galloping) from the kitchen to the family room……just being silly and having fun! She has her favorite toys for chewing. Thank goodness for those as she will chew just about anything she can. Oh the joys of teething!
She is eating and sleeping without any problems. She is fine in the car and has made a couple of trips into Ren’s. Of course, everyone in there loves her and knows she is one of your puppies.
Each day she becomes more daring in exploring her new surroundings. She is even responding to her name.
On Thursday afternoon she will be going to visit the vet. We will let you know how that goes.
Thank you again for our dear little Abby. She is a joy!!

Sirius is a robust weight of 19 pds.
Hopefully he will not grow too much more.
He is a puppy from heaven. Playful, happy (tail that never stops and wags
his bum), quiet (barked maybe 15 times since we got him in September),
enjoys his crate, and doesn’t jump on people. All the things I wanted in a
dog. People constantly comment how cute he is and my husband and son are
slowly beginning to accept him.
Thanks so much for training such a wonderful dog,
Donna , I just want to let you know how much I appreciate your care and concern for your puppies. Even long after they go to their new home you do not hesitate to answer any concerns or offer advice. The Cottage Kennels is much more than a business to you and it shows in the health and vitality of your puppies/dogs. Thank you again for easing my mind last night on Suzi’s late night snack on an outdoor plant. She wasn’t affected at all but it was a wake up call for me to get the yard cleared and cleaned up of any dangers now that the snow has melted. I wanted to post this comment on your site but didn’t know how to do it. You and your puppies are extraordinary !
Just wanted to send a sweet pic of emmy enjoying her crate in the car.
She absolutely loves going in the car….prob enjoys her crate more lol. I can never get her out of it when we arrive at our destination.
She is in and out of her crate at home all day. Its definitely her safe haven. Thanks to you and your training starting her off on the right foot. The crying has minimized at night. It went from 1-2 hrs to about 5 min. Awesome!
She is definitely a sweetie with lots of rambunctious energy. We begin puppy training next week. Looking forward to seeing just how smart our sweet girl is lol.
Will keep u posted,
Have a wonderful day-
Lisa & Rich….. And Emmy too xox
Here is a recent photo of Maisey graduating from puppy classes. She tied for first on the skills competition. She is so lovable and bright (sometimes too smart for her own good! lol)
We are so happy she joined our family!!
